Home Services Website Design, built one trade at a time

We build and manage websites for home service contractors. Every one starts from a concept made for that trade, not a blank template, and you see your homepage designed before any money changes hands.

What home services website design actually means

Home services website design is website work shaped around how somebody actually hires a contractor. They are on a phone, often standing next to the problem, and they are deciding in under a minute whether to call you or the next result down the page.

That makes it a different job from general web design. The site is not a brochure and it is not decoration. It is the thing that has to answer a stranger’s questions fast enough that they pick up the phone.

The short version. A home services website has one job: turn somebody who found you into somebody who contacted you. Everything else is secondary.

A roofing website and a plumbing website are not the same job

Most agency templates treat every trade as the same business with a different logo dropped into it. That is why so many contractor websites feel interchangeable.

The trades do not behave the same way. A roof replacement is a considered purchase. Somebody researches it across several days, compares three companies and wants to see work you have already finished. A blocked drain is an emergency. Nobody is comparing anybody. They are calling whoever answers first.

Those two visitors need a different first screen and a different thing sitting at the top of it.

What a homeowner decides in the first twenty seconds

Before anybody calls, they answer five questions in their head. A home services website that works answers all five without making them hunt for it.

What they are askingWhat the site has to do
Do they actually do my job?The service named plainly, on its own page, in the words they used to search
Are they near me?Service area visible on the page, not buried in the footer
Can I trust them with my house?Real finished jobs, licensing, and how long you have been working
How do I reach them right now?Tap to call and a short form, visible without scrolling
What happens if I get in touch?A plain sentence about what you do next, so contacting you is not a leap

Every one of those is answerable in a sentence. Most contractor websites answer two of the five.

What changes from one trade to the next

The fundamentals are shared. The emphasis is not, and that is the part generic web design gets wrong.

Emergency tradesPlumbing, HVAC, pest control. Speed to contact beats everything else. The number goes at the top and stays there while the page scrolls.
Considered tradesRoofing, remodeling, landscaping. Photographs of finished work do most of the selling. The gallery matters more than the copy around it.
Seasonal tradesHVAC, landscaping, roofing. What somebody needs in January is not what they need in July, so the homepage has to shift twice a year.

Same five fundamentals underneath. A different thing at the top of the page.

Plenty of trades sit in two of these. The point is to design around the one that brings in most of the work.

The trades we build for

Each trade has its own set of design concepts, drawn up for that trade rather than adapted from a generic template. The number beside each one is how many are finished and ready to start from today.

You can look through all of them on the design concepts page. If your trade is not here, it usually still works, because the underlying structure is the same. Ask us and we will tell you honestly.

You see your homepage before you pay for anything

We do not send a quote and ask you to picture it. You pick a concept built for your trade, tell us about the business, and we design your homepage around your services and your photos. It lands within two business days.

If it works, we build the rest and it runs as a managed website for one monthly fee, hosting and updates included. If it does not, you keep the design and you owe nothing.

Every new Web Premium website launches with all five Smart Website features switched on for the first 30 days, at the Managed Website price. You can see whether the extra response tools are useful to your business before deciding whether to keep them.

Questions people ask

Do you only work with home service businesses?
Yes. Every concept, page structure and layout on this site was built for the trades. We do not take on restaurants, clinics or ecommerce, which is why the contractor work is sharper than a general agency can manage.
My trade is not on your list. Can you still build my site?
Usually yes. The underlying structure is the same across the trades, and the emphasis is what shifts. Tell us what you do and we will say honestly whether we are the right fit.
Do I need a separate page for each service I offer?
If you want to be found for them, yes. One clear page per service is how both a homeowner and a search engine work out what you actually do. Lumping six services onto one page competes with itself.
I already have a website. Is this a redesign?
If you have a site that is dated or not converting, that is a website redesign rather than a new build. Same process either way, and you still see the design first.
What happens once the site is live?
It is looked after for you. Hosting, updates and changes are part of the managed website, and the Smart Website adds the parts that answer inquiries when you cannot get to the phone.
